Hopefully have a fairly full understanding of what a manager does. If you were offered a managerial position (or if you currently hold one), what aspect of being a manager is a natural fit with your skills and personality? Conversely, which aspect do you feel would require more conscious effort on your part? Management is definitely NOT for everyone… do you think it is a career path you would enjoy?
ANS- For my skills and personality the motivation and giving credit to someone for their work which most of the managers does is a natural fit as i can motivate and bring the best out of every person and also i give credit to someone who has done a good work. Along with this i like to maintain professional high standards and i like to go with the rules and maintain professionalism in my work.
The managerial aspect of helping employees to achieve their goals is a part on which i feel i need to put conscious effort because all employees are not self driven and cannot do work if the manager does not concentrate on them particularly. Sometimes they fear so much that even if they have the capability to do the work, they do not do it. And for this purpose mangers need to support that employee so that they feel confident to do work.
Yes, definitely i would enjoy the career path by taking management as i have the required skills which a manger needs to have and moreover i am good at managing things. From an very early stage of my life i have been managing things in my personal life so i think with good training and education i can excel by taking management as my career path.
