Central nervous system: The functions of the central nervous system are-

  • To transform signals from one cell to others.
  • To ceceive feedback from the other cells.
  • To control the whole body.
  • It sends information to the peripheral nervous system.
  • To integrate most sensory information and coordinating body functions.
  • The macular reflexes are controlled by the central nervous system.
  • To process the auditory and oculary stimulation.
  • To decode the sensory stimulation like temperature, taste etc.

There are two parts of peripheral nervous system are somatic nervous system and autonomic nervous system. The function of the peripheral nervous system are:

  • Yo connect central nervous system with the other parts of body.
  • To carry message to the central nervous system
  • To execute the voluntary movement of the body.

  • To regulate gastrointestinal system.

2. Glandular system largely controls human behavior. Aggression, mating and parenting depend on the hormonal secretion. Sexual motivation depends on the secretion of gonads. Thyroid gland secrets hormone which is responsible for mental agitation.

3. There are two types of brain injury - traumatic brain injury and acquired brain injury. The brain damage can be cured. There are various reasons of brain damage. It can be damaged by external blow or accident. In such case ic the blow is minor then it can e cured with long treatment.

But acquired brain damage is very complex and in most of the it is not cured. It can be genetic or environmental. Environment rain damage may be partly cured by therapy. If the brain damage is by birth then it is very difficult to cure the damage.
