This helps the procurement person to evaluate the materials and vendors in different perspective. This reduces the errors in materials purchase and reduce the risk associated with quality of service of vendors. Considering an example of electrical cable procurement for automobile. When the purchaser has knowledge on quality and inspection the person can visit the vendor site and do quality auditing before placing order with them . This ensure that risk in low quality product procurement and ensure the efficient way of procurement.
