Answer #1

Answer: This discussion is based on a small hospital facility that I use to visit during my illness

  1. I feel that at that facility the nurses were treated as professionals as they were respected by both doctors and the other staff members. They had proper dress codes and duty timings and they appeared to be happy with working conditions. They were well trained and the administration was also supportive to them. The demonstrated good team work with other health care workers including physicians and delivered their service in a professional manner.
  2. I don’t feel that even if these nurses are given a chance to form or join a union, they will not join it. I say this because employees in the organizations where they are treated professionally and their interest are safe does not get involve in union activities. They consider such activities as needless as most of the employees are inclined towards unions when they feel that they are not being treated well.
