  1. Servant Leadership is one of the leadership philosophies wherein the leader’s main goal is to serve others thus building a better community. This is contrary to the traditional leadership style which focuses on being served. Characteristics of servant leadership style are serve others, listen, empathize, persuasion, conceptualization, stewardship and committed to make others grow thus leading to a good community or organization.
  2. Abusive supervision refers to the perception of the subordinates that their supervisors use verbal and non-verbal hostile behavior towards them to get their work done. However, this does not include any physical harassment. This kind of supervision is a mental burden for the employees thus reducing their morale, health issues and hindered work performance.
  3. Yes, a servant leader effectively hold all team members accountable to business processes and timelines. A leader serves the employees to ensure that they are developed in their skills and roles to do their job functions efficiently. From this perspective, the servant leader ensures that the employees take commitment and responsibilities for their tasks. This makes them to be accountable for all the business processes and timelines. A servant leader serves the employees to only build the efficient workers and guide them to do their work effectively. In the pursuit of this goal, the employees take accountability and responsibility for the business processes and timelines and don’t blame the leader. In other words, a servant leader creates an efficient workforce to ensure the organizational goals are achieved.
