Describe the criteria for whistle-blowing.

Criteria:

It is basically done by the workers of the company where they find unethical practices are being undertaken by the governing body towards them or to society. Under such circumstances, the workers do the whistle-blowing among the public about the wrongful activities performing in the organization. This is the main criterion of the whistle-blowing that the organization faces from the worker's side. During the conduction of the work process, the employers sometimes take the path of unlawful activities like forces the employees to take the illegal path for fulfilling the task and make them bound to do all such activities that may not be right to perform.

The employee of the organization raises their voice under such a situation and the entire matter reveals by them to the public. It can occur in the form of external, internal, and interpersonal ways. The attempt of whistle-blowing is not only being undertaken by current employees of the organization, but the former employees may also disclose all confidential information to the public about the happenings in the workplace. It may result in whistle-blowing as all such secret details will come under the light that may cause a negative impact on the side of the organization and to the employees itself.   

Example:-

It is been observed in outbound calling profiles in the business process outsourcing sector, the companies force the employees to make fraudulent calls to seek money from different audiences. As it is completely illegal, so the employees either may leave the job or raise their voice among the public to make changes in the work process of the organization. For such type of work, the ex-employees of that organization may whistle-blow on such activity to the public and it can turn a negative outcome for the organization side.
