When it comes to Kirchoff's Law in circuits, can you change travel direction for each individual loop in a circuit or must it be constant in each loop?
So if you have a parallel circuit and you take the left loop clockwise can you take the right loop as counterclockwise for travel direction or is that a violation of the law.
We can take any travel direction according to our convenience.
But when we change the travel direction the sign of quantities will change accordingly. This is not going to alter the result or it is not violating any law.

I need aome help with this part of my lab. thank you!
Kirchoff's Laws 4. Now click on this link, which is another circuit I modified and created for this lab: http://tinyurl.com/y8toda84 A. Do not Click run/Stop. This is a circuit that has elements that are neither series nor parallel, as well as multiple voltage sources. The best way for us to analyze this circuit is to use Kirchoff's laws. From the text here are Kirchoff's laws: 1) The sum...
1. Two simple, single loop circuits are positioned next to each other on the plane of a desk. The first consists of a 10 v battery, a switch and an 0.2 mH inductor. The second has a 0.3 mH inductor and a galvanometer. The inductors from each circuit are aligned (coaxial). Which of the following is true? a). The galvanometer will have a reading as long as the switch is closed b). The galvanometer can never have a reading c)...
In this problem, you will use Lenz's law to explore what happens when an electromagnet is activated a short distance from a wire loop. You will need to use the right-hand rule to find the direction of the induced current. When the switch is open, which of the following statements about the magnetic flux through the wire loop is true? Assume that the direction of the vector area of the wire loop is to the right. There is no magnetic...

Using Lenz's law. Lenz's law is a useful rule for determining the
direction of the induced current in a loop. Specifically, it says
that there is an induced current in a closed conducting loop if and
only if the magnetic flux through the loop is changing. The
direction of the induced current is such that the induced magnetic
field opposes the change in the flux. The following Tactics Box
summarizes the essential steps in using...
Choose the correct answer for each given situation using Lenz's Law (1 point) and explain the reason for choosing the answer you did (1 point): 1) A wire loop is being pulled through a uniform magnetic field that suddenly ends. What is the direction of the induced current? a) Clockwise b) Counterclockwise c) No induced current Explain your answer: O 2) What is the direction of the induced current if the B field suddenly increases while the loop is in...
Learning Goal: To understand the terms in Faraday's law and to be able to identify the magnitude and direction of induced emf. Faraday's law states that induced emf is directly proportional to the time rate of change of magnetic flux. Mathematically, it can be written as E=???B?t, where E is the emf induced in a closed loop, and ??B?t is the rate of change of the magnetic flux through a surface bounded by the loop. For uniform magnetic fields the...
