Suppose now the planned expenditure rate is: $50 for each of the 1st two weeks; $100 for each of the 3rd and 4th weeks; $125 for each of the 5th and 6th weeks; $150 for each of the 7th and 8th weeks; $125 for week 9; and $75 for each of weeks 10 through 12. What is PV at the end of the fourth week? At the end of the tenth week? At the end of the twelfth week?

Planned value is a quantity that can be measured at any time during the project, based on the planned expenditure at that length of time, while budget at completion is the total budget allocated for project.

Planned activity budget per week = 1200/12 =100

PV at the end of the fourth week= 4x100 =400

PV at the end of the tenth week =10x100 =1000

PV at the end of the twelfth week =12x100 =1200

With the new system

PV at the end of the fourth week=50x2+100x2 =300

PV at the end of the tenth week= 50x2+100x2 +125x2+150x2+125+75 = 1050

PV at the end of the twelfth week = 50x2+100x2 +125x2+150x2+125+75x3 =1200
