A window IR satellite image shows a subtropical land location during day where no clouds are present. What level of brightness or darkness do you expect it to have? Why?

Basically the reflection of light is directly proportional to the thickness of clouds, the thicker the clouds the brightest it appears. For example, Cumulonimbus types of clouds show the brightest in appearance in WINDOW IR images.

So according to the question, there is no cloud present, so it appears very dull in IR satellite images.
