Answer: As described by Kathy Schwalbe in the book "Information Technology Project Management", many organisations now a days have a new or renewed interest in project management as today's project management involves many more facets compared to traditional focus of project management. Till 1980s, project management focused of scheduling and resources management data supply to top management in military, computer and construction industries. Today, new technologies, computer hardware, software, networks have changed the work environment. Today's companies understand that many concepts of project management will help them in day to day basis as they work with people and technology in their daily lives.
