Hominids are basically human like species that have lived on earth around millions of years ago and with time they changed and evolved and were diverged to form new species.The evolution of the hominids may have been due to the major climate shift or change as from the ice age the earth has seen drastic climatic change and hominids must have survived that and evolved to form new species.
