Kerberos login process:
- Client requests an authentication ticket (TGT) from the Key Distribution Center (KDC).
- The credentials are then verified by the KDC and an encrypted TGT and session key is returned.
- Using the Ticket Granting Service (TGS) secret key, the TGT is encrypted.
- The TGT is stored by the client and when it expires the local session manager will request another TGT (the process is transparent to the user).
By using the brute force attack, attackers could disable the login.
