Use the following three areas of emotional intelligence (EI):
perceive emotions in him or herself and others, understand the meaning of these emotions and regulate his or her own emotions according to rate yourself on your ability to successfully interact with others.
Choose your weakest area and provide three suggestions for improving that dimension of EI in 1 to 2 pages.
In order to control, express and be aware of one’s own emotion one should handle it effectively to optimize the best interpersonal relationship in the personal and professional life. With the help of self-awareness, self-control and self motivation one can overcome their emotional weakness to be succeeded in their life and they can achieve the best outcomes with the regular practice of the effective exercise of the emotional intelligence. The pragmatic benefits are observed especially in the workplace among employees when they are getting collaborated for accomplishing any task and when an enthusiastic leader constantly encourages them to achieve this goal.
In terms of identifying the three weaknesses that are needed to be sorted to get effective benefits from the emotional intelligence I have chosen anger, manipulation and making decisions by emotions. These three weaknesses are the most important emotional characteristics which make him or her take a wrong way in their personal and professional life.
When things are not in the right track then individuals are getting angry that makes them more difficult to come out from these problematic situations. Thus one should control their anger by taking a deep breath and think about the matter critically to solve the problem. It is important to be calm and composed in order to achieve the right and exact solutions to get success from the problematic task. To over this weakness, one should exercise the self awareness program within themselves which may help them to identify the reason for the anger.
People are getting manipulative when they are not sure about their knowledge of the relevant task and waste their skills by manipulating the things to get rewards from their authorities. People often observed to manipulate their friends, colleagues and family members to get the things that they want. This is happened when they lack self-motivation as a result they don't recognize their inner power, strengths, and skills for accomplishing the job. Thus it is important to practice of self-motivation on a regular basis to recognize the inner strength so that one should nor has to be dependable to others.
Leaders are often observed to make decisions by emotions that may lead to hampering the strategic achievements and the organizational goals. This is observed due to the lack of self control of the emotions. One should analyze their weakness critically to overcome this overrated emotional attachment about anything.
