How will you create the most effective learning environment for yourself while getting your Business Degree?
Consider your study space, the time in which you will study and who you will reach out to when things become difficult.

For a business degree, the most conducive environment to learning and getting better would need to make of a set routine, use of technology to aid both interest and knowledge as well as finding somebody to indulge into the process. What I mean by this is that having somebody on the same path as yourself would allow for a better back and forth process of understanding, knowledge, reciprocation and providing motivation. Having a set routine helps by preparing us to develop an organic approach to problem-solving, breaking a big challenge into smaller parts to use “divide and conquer.”
The removal of distraction to a minimum would help us gain focus, and the use of meditation would help us remain centered and gain clarity.

Now the where is just as important as the how. The fact that the place where the process would be conducted need to match the requirements of the methods. Having an end goal and thereby making smarter changes to it would help us stay determined and creating milestones would keep us on track.

The study space needs to be free of distractions. That could mean something as simple as no cell phones, to having a time of day set aside to focus on reflection and self-examination. Being self-critical has benefits when we consider a learning process and our understanding of the said process.


I would also recommend involving networking as a viable way to learn from an industry professional. Contact local businesses near you. Ask them if you can survey their business processes, make meaningful connections with individuals that could mentor you, not just for the “experience” but the “grind” as well. Having a mentor would make it easy to find the areas you are lacking it and focus your implementation on self-improvement through constructive criticism.


When things become difficult, we can reach out to our mentors for their advice, their decision as well as for the inspiration they would bring for us. We could always ask our professors for help, and, even have a “study buddy” for mutual exchange of ideas, concepts and creating a better overall understanding of the different underlying processes.
