Answer #1

Respiratory acidosis is basically the acid base imbalance. Respiratory center is located in the medulla oblongata and pons.In case of any damage to the respiratory center in brainstem can cause hypoventilation as thse work through stimuli in case of damage chemoreceptors detects the level of carbon dioxide , increased co2 level leads to decreased pH in blood and in response to decreased pH in blood there is a feedback response to remove carbon dioxide by increased ventilation and finally to balance it out hyperventilation occur also known as respiratory acidosis.
