Answer. 1. At the lowest power of objective we can focus upward and downward the greatest distance ( for example if 4x is the objective lens then you have large field of view and also you can adjust the focus upward and downward at greatest distance. While in high power objective lens you can do it least..

Answer 2. Depth of a specimen can be seen at low power if the power is low FOV (field of view) is more and we can see the depth of specimen. Also at high power we can only focus at minimum area and reduces depth of field.
