What are some of the messages that we communicate through our nonverbal behaviors? How might these affect communication with people from different cultures?

Facial expressions, body movement and posture, gestures, eye-contact, touch, space, and voice are some of the nonverbal behaviors through which we communicate some of the messages. Body movement and attitude hold a wealth of information to the world, and eye-contact involves interest, affection hostility and attraction, such as facial expressions for joy, sadness anger disgust, fear, and disgust.
These might affect communication with people from different cultures like in Asian countries, for instance, it can be perceived as disrespectful to maintain direct eye contact, Another example can be, while the hand-made OK sign sends a positive message in English-speaking countries, it is considered offensive in countries such as Germany, Russia, and Brazil.
