This technique also involves rigorous statistical testing. The cleanroom process prioritizes defect prevention. Here, all the members of the team have to agree upon the correctness of the software product . This technique is generally used for developing important software products where any defect can result in a huge damage.

Cleanroom approach may stifle creativity as it is a very strict process that involves formal methods , statistical testing and defect prevention. Thus , one has to many a times do whatever the manual says to avoid any mistakes that may sometimes stifle the creativity of an individual. One cannot be ignorant to any errors when using this technique.
