I need help with a five page paper on how leadership has changed over the years, that can't come from an already written article. I need ideas for section headings and conclusion. It's due this Wednesday and it very important. please help thank you.

Things tends to evolve indefinitely over a period of time, where it may moving forward or backward but most of the times it moves forward by incorporating new trend.

Leadership is such a quality which keeps you ahead of other and the rest of the world tends to follow you.leadership involves directing, controlling, supervising, managing, training, authorising, motivating etc.

President of America John Quincy Adams say's , “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, you are a leader”.

Here main aim of leader should be giving lots of clarification about the objectives to be fulfilled and making list of plans (plan alternative plan and succession planning ) so that he can alter the plan inorder to seize the opportunities and overcome the unpleasant situations.

Distributed Leadership

The hierarchical and concentrated structure of leadership style has gone now, the thing which we have now is distributed leadership which involves incorporation of ideas by all the participants of organisation.leadership styles has moved from,

• Authoritarian to participative
• Participative to delegation
• Delegation to technical

Reason For Chang In Leadership

• Globalisation - The leader has to keep big vision inorder to manage globalised business.
• Technology - It brought changes in the way leader handles his activity.
• Incredible power of stackholder - Now time has gone where leaders use to take decision on their own, Now stackholders became the important participants in decision making process of company.
• Diversified workforce - You need to manage workforce which is from diversified calture and it's a difficult task to understand each once vision and perspectives ability.

Does technology has it's impact on leadership?

Yes, It depends on adaptability of leader to changing technology, whether it makes leadership easier or difficult because leader should aware of technological changes happening around him and how he should use it to make his work effective.

Where technology brought changes?

• Communication process - It made communication easier with quick transfer of information where you get immediate response, no need to wait for long time.
• Need of managing remote employees - people started working from home so it became necessary to possess quality to handle remote employees.
• Round the clock managing - That time has gone where leaders use to work for 8 hours, now we have 24 hours of working schedule.
• Transparency - It brought transferency in decision making process.
• Social media - makes leader to be conscious about the way they deal because social media spreads information to million of people within a seconds.
• Training became online - It's not necessary to be time bound to train employees,distance training became ongoing trend.
• Fire-house of information - Technology made it easy to access lots of information under one roof at any time, so leadershipactivities became little bit complex as he has to make best choice of information among available information.
• Real-time planning - Has emerged now where you can't go ahead with single long-term plan, ypu need to make short plans according to need of organisation.

One drawback of technology is micromanaging which involves controlling each activity it may be a small or big, where leader can have close observation on employees, which leads to lack of freedom in work place.

Leaders always do possess vibrant vision and try to keep organisation on successful path.leadership qualities never changes the thing which changed is the way of handling leadership activities.
