Why do you think employees tend to discriminate against pregnant potential job candidates?
Pregnancy is seen as a kind of handicap for an employee by many co - employees who lack sensitivity. They see a pragnant person as someone who would need more adjustments in very near future with regards flexibility of time, place and job functions among others, that will affect their own schedule and work domain. They see her as someone whose work will fall upon them when she goes on maternaity leave, which is eventually going to happen. Even after the childbirth, she would need more leniency and flexibility from the co staff so that she can look after her offspring well. In totality, recruitment of a pragnant lady is seen by many potential co - workers as a beginning of greater burden, adjustment, subsitution of work and uncertain schedule among others, making them think against it.
