K = 1.3 * 106 for the disproportionation reaction of Cu+ at 298 K. Calculate the E°cell and ΔG° for this reaction at 298 K
So finding delta G is actually pretty easy but for finding Ecell I'm using the equation: DeltaG= -vFE
But how do we know v is 1? When would there be a case where v would be 2 or 3...etc?
Thank you :)

Since your problem was only in this zone so I've only elaborated that part. I did not solve the actual math.

K = 1.3 * 106 for the disproportionation reaction of Cu+ at 298 K. Calculate the E°cell for this rxn at 298K The latimer Diagram for Cu+ has: +0.159 V +0.520 V Cu2+ ---> Cu+ --> Cu(s) And then Cu2+ --> Cu (s) = 0.340 V So for Ecell would I just do Ecell = (0.520V - (-0.159V))? ... if not how come?

Use the following data to calculate the value of ΔG°rxn at 298 K for the reaction described by the given chemical equation. Include the units. Compound S°f (J/molK) DH°f (kJ/mol) CO (g) 197.7 –110.5 H2 (g) 130.7 0 CH4 (g) 186.3 –74.6 H2O (g) 188.8 –241.8 CO (g) + 3H2 (g) → CH4 (g) + H2O (g) I got -141.9 KJ/mol, but i think the units are wrong and I don't know why.
