Explanation:

Transcriptional termination signal for a gene X in E. coli would code for either of the three STOP codons – UAG, UAA, or UGA in the 3' end of the mRNA.

If there is no stop codon in the mRNA, the resulting protein X made from that RNA will be longer because the termination signal has been removed and ribosome would translate mRNA until the 3' end of the mRNA is not encountered.
