Explain the various methods of intelligence collection, specifically human intelligence and signals intelligence.
Intelligence collection is a process which is utilized to gather information value. The aims and objectives of intelligence are set based on the information which is collected. Two valuable types of intelligence collection are as follows:
• Human data: Human intelligence is the collection of information which a human being gathers to explore his knowledge base. The information collected is openly done when the FBI agents interview and try to collect information. Human intelligence is termed as HUMINT in the USA. Both the FBI and CIA collect information from HUMINT to gather intelligence information.
• Signal intelligence: Signal intelligence is a transmission base intelligence where information is received through the transmitter. Information here is collected from various ships, planes, and satellites. Signals are captured by communication intelligence device. Hence, intelligence is intercepted between two parties. The National security agencies of America utilize signal intelligence.
Apart from these two valuable intelligence collection, the other types of intelligence collection are mentioned below:
• Measurement and signature intelligence: It is used to maintain the record of different characteristics of the target audience
• Imagery and signature intelligence: Photographic information is recorded through this intelligence.
• Open-source intelligence: This information is collected from various public domains.
• Surveillance: Tracking doubtful activities.
• Cyber Intelligence: Information is gathered from online media sources.

PLEASE RESPOND TO POST. DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE? IF SO WHY.The five traditional intelligence collection disciplines and their descriptions are as follows: 1.) Human intelligence HUMINT) Any intelligence information gathered from or produced by human sources or individuals, i.e. spies, HUMINT teams, verbal communication. 2.) Signals intelligence (SIGINT) Any sort of information or intelligence gathered from any electronic means of gathering information, i.e. from radio transmissions, phone calls, text messages. This is typically broken out into two sub-disciplines: COMINT...
