Answer #1

I do not agree with the statement that artificial intelligence is a threat to human leadership:

AI has been used in all forms of businesses, from manufacturing capabilities to data analysis and even recruitment and staffing processes by the HRM. we can say that businesses are most effective when they make a balanced compromise between data, automated analytics as well as human experience and intellect. This is the reason I believe that at the current level of implementation, AI is not a threat to human leadership, rather, it acts as a weapon for the leadership.

A leader needs the basic skill of being able to provide the direction, the motivation and help the employees reach the goal in the best possible realization of their capabilities. Thus, a leader’s role is vital to the success of a company. The reason why an Ai would not be able to successfully lead is in its inherent nature. It lacks empathy, understanding of the situation and rationalization. As a result, an AI, with its given criteria can make effective decisions about the direction, optimum schedule and help with the performance, but cannot provide individualistic response and interaction which a leader needs in order to succeed. By utilizing both the aspects a leader can make his decisions based on the results of the analysis performed by the AI, utilize their own rationality and come up with the best possible use of implementation possible, but only if the leader is competent in their understanding of how to augment their functionality with the use of AI.

An AI makes repeated tasks efficient. This includes data analysis, decision making, projections, forecasts as well as other calculation easy, quick and effective within a company. There is always a chance for human error in manual tasks and this can be minimized by the use of AI effectively. We can, therefore, say that rather than being a threat, it acts as an asset to the aspect of human leadership.
