Interphase

It is the phase in which chromatin or DNA is present in loose form as threads. It is not condensed into chromatids and chromosomes. At this stage it is least condensed.

It begins to condense from prophase stage and fully condensed chromosomes with good morphology can be seen at metaphase stage.
