From the reading assignments and perhaps your own experience and/or research, what do you believe to be the biggest ethical issue on the Internet and Web at the present time? Explain in some detail why you believe your issue is so impactful. Is there a way to fix the situation? Also, what do you perceive will be the biggest ethical issue online in the next five years?
The biggest ethical issue on the internet and web at the present time is the addiction of people to social networks.
I believe social media has a particularly harmful impact on people as it leads to people detaching themselves from their nearest friends and always thinking about their virtual friends and their lives. Thus in this way they fall prey to the web of online socializations and in turn ignore their offline and best freinds who care for them in real life. Social media becomes addicting as you spend more time on it. This can also lead to psychological disorders and eye strains if exposed to for long periods of time.
I think users should not be too much attached to online beings for their psychological satisfactions. They should maintain a perfect balance between their online social networking apps and friends and family in real life.
The biggest online issue in the next 5 years could be the elimination of all jobs for human beings as automation and robotics could replace human beings in all fields and jobs.
