The strategic vision of Walmart is to develop a healthy organizational environment having proper communication between employees, management, and leaders.

This strategic leadership is an effective strategy to manage

• Salary issues
• Performance development
• Incentive issue
• Reward issue
• Training management problems and
• Communication issue

Strategicleadership has properly managed all the employee issues in the organization. The situation started when employees were not rewarded for their performance and they were not provided sufficient performance development pieces of training. It reduced the motivational level of employees. Most of the time performances of employees were not properly rewarded. However, the incorporation of strategic leadership has changed this scenario by

• Arranging employee development programs
• Creating a new increment structure where employees are rewarded for each of their performance development
• Enforcing both verbal and nonverbal communication process to reduce communication-related issues.

I do not totally agree with the concept of strategic leadership. Because, only strategic reform is not sufficient to nullify organizational issues. It is important o understand core issues, conflicting issues, issues related to market operations and issues associated with stakeholders management. Moreover, it is important to manage employees during strategic changes. Thus, transactional leadership must be added with strategic leadership for the more impactful outcome.
