Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) is defined as the safety document for the chemicals which shows the potential hazards of the chemicals or the potential issues with the chemical in using it at our organization. The MSDS sheet will be showing the potential hazard on health related, fire related, reactivity related, environmental related etc.) . Thus all the hazardous substances are equipped with MSDS document so that user will not get injured because of such materials.    

Answer 2:

Supplier or manufacturer of the material is responsible for evaluating the hazards of chemicals and preparing the MSDS. The MSDS preparation is legal requirement and it need to be made and supplied along with the material so that any consumer will be able to understand the potential hazard in the chemical substance they have purchased.

The facility’s responsibility with respect to the MSDS is to review the MSDS of all the chemical material, they are going to use at their facility so that it will help in avoiding any potential hazard at the plant. This will trigger for initiation of any preventing action at the facility so that hazard can be managed effectively.
