Answer #1

The number of spaces will decrease on increasing magnification.

Magnification in general gives us a lesser field of vision. So the spaces will look like they are far from each other.

The micrometer is used to calibrate an ocular micrometer.

On increasing magnification, the size of the graduations of the stage relative to ocular micrometer will also increase.

So, the number of spaces on the stage micrometer will decrease.

Whereas, the number of spaces on ocular micrometer remains same on increasing magnification.
