1)ans- as olfactory receptor neurons contains the olfactory specific g- protein, which leads to activation of olfactory adenylate cyclase due to this there is increase in cyclic AMP pathway and opens the channel which leads to entry of Na+ and Ca2+ And by this way it depolarising the neuron. So, if any kind of reason that block this channel leads to switch off the entry and exit of the ions and leads to switch off the mechanism.

2) ans- if sensory perception gets disturbed then the amount or pattern of incoming stimuli gets disturbed ,exaggerated , distorted or get impaired to the given stimuli.
