Describe the health of the people in your community.
Health status of the people in my community has been at average level and it is due to the many reasons. The first and most important reason is the poor purchasing power and lower income of the people in the community. It brings restriction to the access to the health care facilities. The second reason is the lack of awareness among people and concerned departments are also not doing wall to help these people come out of the health care problems.
So, yes access of health care should be more available and at a different level with more simplified approach so that more people can access it. If it is changed, then it will improve the health status at a societal level.
To enact this type of change at the community level, the first step will be to develop awareness regarding health care programs and who should access what type of programs to maximize the health care benefits. There should be a clear path to the health care program for different group of people. The second step will be to bring volunteers who will resolve queries and make people relax their nerves regarding cost, their eligibility and benefits given to them. It will definitely bring the change and people will get better health.
Change can be unnecessary, because people are already getting the benefits and they need specialized programs that is not yet available in that area. So, it requires interests groups and legislators of that area to enact specific programs and then, implement in that area to bring the change required by the community.
