Answer #1

The three types of products are

  • New to the world: The products which are entirely new to the market. For example, micro wave ovens. This product is an exemplar as during its introduction no other similar products were existing in the market.
  • New product lines: The differentiated products of the organization which it hasn’t offered before. For example washing machine by Samsung. Samsung introduced oven initially and washing machines which is the new product line of the organization.
  • Lower priced products: It is the products introduced by the organization to achieve competitive advantage. For example Samsung introduced budget smart phones which achieved it competitive advantage.
