when you allow an employee to do a self appraisal they see their faults better than telling them.
What do you think?
When we are evaluating someone else then it becomes extremely important to do it in the right manner. This is because feedback which is not provided in the right manner is extremely counter-productive.
To make this process much easier, self-evaluation or self-appraisal is becoming a popular choice among the leaders and experts. This is because it is widely believed that people are expected to work on their shortcomings much better when they realize them themselves. This also saves on the human and logistical efforts of conducting evaluations and appraisals by a third party or some senior employee.
