Do you believe that its better to start with a "fresh" employee or an experienced employee when trying to train them to do things your way? Explain.
I think its better to start with a "fresh" employee when trying to train them to do things your way. This is because when an employee is experienced, he or she is accustomed to doing things in a particular way. There is a certain comfort level which the employee is used to and the ways of working for such an experienced employee are already set. To ask such an employee to do things in a different way would lead to a lot of discomfort for that employee. There will be a lot of resistance to such a change from that employee if he or she is asked to do things in an altogether different way. In contrast, if there is a "fresh" employee, then he or she will still be in the learning phase of the job. The employee's ways of working are not yet set and hence he or she is more receptive to learn new ways of working. Such an employee can be easily persuaded to try new methods of working as per the my requirements. Hence I would prefer to start with a "fresh" employee when trying to train them to do things in my way
