One of the things most organizations struggle with is ensuring compliance; especially if you take into consideration the human factor. For example, my office always asks the workforce specific questions on their knowledge and responsibilities; but what we find is that some know and some do not know what their responsibilities are. While they may have everything else in place, ensuring staff are doing the right thing may never occur. What can we do to ensure that staff are continually provided information on their roles and responsibilities?
What can we do to ensure that staff are continually provided information on their roles and responsibilities
We all know that the human resource of any organization plays a very critical role in the accomplishment of the organizational goals and objectives. In order to ensure that the organization is able to fulfill its goals, it is equally important that the employees are aware of their roles, jobs, and responsibilities in the organization. If the manpower is not well informed about the expectations from them, there will always be a gap between the desired level of performance and the actual level of performance of the employees.
In order to ensure that the manpower is fully aware of their job responsibilities, the managers must ensure that they conduct one to one meetings with their subordinates and in that, they communicate about the expectations organization is having from the particular employee.
A well-defined job analysis or job profile can also help the employee but again the role of the manager becomes critical as she will be required to explain the details of the job profile to the employee clearly and any kind of doubt must be cleared.
Proper training and communication is also a desirable course of action as with the help of training, employees will have the understanding about the nature of the job and quality of the work which is expected from them.

Burke: Training in the Service of Change; Too often, training in organizations is conducted because competitors are doing it or because some executive believes that conducting a certain program would be a good thing to do, regardless of whether any evidence exists that the program actually works. Training is, indeed, capable of helping organizational members learn and develop, but training targeted at supporting and enhancing organization change can have considerable payoffs. Action Learning; This form of training and development combines...
I feel like everyone goes through road bumps when it comes to their jobs, especially depending on the position they hold. There are times that those road bumps turn into experiences we do not like. In my case a time a I went through a road bump was this past summer when I took on a new manager’s position over at Brooklyn. I feel like it was a mix of just everything at the beginning because it was a lot...

In your initial post, explain which internal controls you would use to protect your assets and ensure that your financial statements are accurate. In your responses...
It’s got to be one of the most convenient products ever—especially for consumers who want their coffee (or tea or other hot beverage) efficiently delivered without much hassle. For him, it was finding a better way to provide his 30–40 daily cups of coffee in a way that was customizable and easy. The single-serve brewing pod he created became the...
There are many different ways in which firms can organize themselves: There are flat organizations and there are tall organizations. There are organizations structured by products, divisions, and geography. But one thing nearly all structures have in common is a chain of command, or hierarchy. Do companies have to set up that way? Tony Hsieh doesn’t think so. Hsieh is the CEO of Zappos, the online seller of shoes. Hsieh is a guy who thinks outside of the box. When...
