Transformational leaders rely on individual traits of vision and inspiration and own methods to lead a situation. Situational leaders analyze and evaluate the situations and accordingly lead as per intuition and in a way that makes best sense.
Transformational leaders are brought in a situation when the organization requires a massive overhaul. These leaders have a passion for accomplishing great things and are great drivers of change.These are visionary which benefits the employees because they are able to see where they are heading
A situational leader, on the other hand, will evaluate the situation and accordingly adapt the leadership style. They are effective to lead situations where there is a leadership change. A situational leader will effectively take over from the incumbent by quick understanding of what kind of leadership does the situation in hand demand.
The similarity between these styles is that both are highly effective ways of leading and are the most sought after leaders in current time.
