Maslow's theory of motivation is based on below mentioned 5 points:-
This means what the person thinks about the work. It is very important because by this only management will able see how they can motivate the person.
Safety not only how a person is feeling at work place. It also include how secure the person in terms of job and stability. If company will terminate employees easily than employees will not feel secure.
Social means the society of the person. If the society is motivating than person will be motivated as well.
It means the person ready to give all his efforts in working.
this means the person is self motivated and ready for all the task assigned to him/her.
If you need to satisfy the lower level person than higher level team need to be actively take some steps towards the same.
Herzberg include identifying the factors at a work place should be hygienic and people working should feel happy. If those factors are not as per the guidelines than person will dissatisfaction. Hygiene factors include :-
If these factors are present within the organisation then person will feel satisfied and motivated as well. These are the Factors within work place are labeled or included in Herzberg as motivators. There are few more factors included in this theory such as achievement, rewards, recognition, advancement, and the task itself. When these factors are present, then employees will be motivated and satisfied.
This is the main difference in both theories. One discuss about how to motivate person by giving monetary benefits to employees and other is motivating person by talking.
