Answer #1

Scientist have always found a huge cytological advantages provided by the giant salivary glands of drosophila .The giant polytene chromosomes from Drosophila third instar larval salivary glands provide an important model system for studying. Because we can observe  chromosomes undergo many rounds of replication in the tissue. In the absence of cell division, it produce nearly 1000 copies, which gives result of a enlarge chromosome along with a DNA Thus creating an opportunity to correlate chromatin morphology with the localization of specific proteins.
