1. Most fungi are multicellular organism; Which is made up of hyphae

  • visible mass of hyphae termed as mycelium
  • Tips of hyphae grow rapidly in direction of food source, grow throughout food; opening remain between cells allowing movement alonh hypha
  • High surface- to- volume ratio aids nutrient absorption.

2. Though Fungus and humans both are heterotrophs, but their nutrition mode is different.

  • Fungi secret enzymes to externally digest food, then the nutrients are absorbed, but in humans ingest food followed by internal digestion & absorption of food.
  • Mostly fungi eat rotten materials, but human use healthy foods.
  • A particular& well developed digestion system is present in humans, but fungai do not consist this type of structure.
  • The digestion enzymes are different in both.
  • Fungi obtain their food by transporting it through their cell wall, but in humans cell wall is absent.
