Two different type of packets get into a single server system
which capacity is 80 Mbps:
1. Type 1 – Deterministic length of 10 Bytes. Arrival rate: 50000
packets/s
2. Type 2 – Exponential length of 25 Bytes. Arrival rate of 10000
packets/s.
The quality of service (QoS) is satisfied when the service time for
type 1 packets is lower than 2 µs. For this reason, priority is
given to type 1 packets. Which of the following situations ensure
achieving the quality of service?
A. It accomplishes the QoS condition if the packets have preemptive
priority and it does
not if they have non-preemptive priority.
B. It accomplishes the QoS condition if the packets have
non-preemptive priority and it
does not if they have preemptive priority.
C. It does not accomplished the QoS condition regardless the type
of priority the packets
are given.
D. It does accomplished the QoS condition regardless the type of
priority the packets
are given.
Acc to me answer should be
Option A
i.e If packets have pre-emptive property then QOS can be accomplised otherwise not .
Take an example
We have two packets
Packet 1 and packet 2
where packet 1 is having high priority as compared to packet 2
So
If packet 2 is currently in execution and suddenly on urgent demand packet 1 wants to do some important task so if we follow pre-emptive priority then only we can stop packet 2 and start processing packet 1 by giving necesssary resources to packet 1 but in other case if we are having non-preemptive then we cannot process packet 1 until packet 2 is completed so this may leads to bad QOS
So in order to maintain good Qos
1. Give priority to all the packets
2. Follow pre-emptive approach so that situations like above can be easily handled
A network capability that permits authorized high priority traffic to take over resources assigned to lower priority traffic. This leads to a good QOS mechanism .
Thank you

It is important to understand the different leadership styles employed by nursing leaders in healthcare organizations and to understand their significance on nursing practice and patient outcomes, for better or for worse. Objective: Read the articles from Nursing Standard (PDF) and Bradley University (PDF). In -250 words, formulate an opinion on the following: 1. Reflect on an occasion where you experienced ineffective leadership (doesn't have to be in the hospital). What behaviors did they display? What...
What an Executive Summary Is
An executive summary is a specific type of document that does
two things: it summarizes a research article, and it offers
recommendations as to how information from the article can be
used.
Some long reports can contain an executive summary section, as
indicated in the Pearson handbook.
