I consider the following as greatest achievements accomplished by mankind in the last five decades

Technology And Innovation:   
Over these last five decades technology has created drastic amount of changes in the way we live and perform activities ... Technology surely has revolutionized and updated the way of living . It has lead to the invention ofvvarious amazing and mindboggling gadgets, tools and resources. It has helped rhe manking to almost know wveything and has put useful information that they require at their fingertips in no time .
Modern worls has witnessed the advancements in technology that has made impossible things possible and dteams into reality. It jas lead to the discovery of many multi functional and utility devices such as smartphones, computers, laptops, refrigerators, washing machines, LCD's , LED's , smart watches ,tracking devices , softwares etc. With these inventions the technology has made lives of the people much easier, , safer , faster, better… and more entertaining . The other achievements of technology with tespect to travelling are train, airlines, automobiles, etc

Internet and Mass communication (Digital Technology)
The way a person communicates today has completely changed ...Ifcwe look past 5 decades , horses and carts were used to inform about a news, letters were send from one place to another which almost used to take a month or more ....And if we look how we communicate today , and how Internet has made the communication a lot easier by eradicating the distance barriers . Internet revolution has lead to an impressive advancement and influence. The media of communication has become smart .
The communication through social media , for share information is phenomenal.
The social media applications like Facebook, Instagram ,Twitter, Skype etc . They form a part of our everyday life today. No mayter where the petson is , the message, voice meassge or written or images or videos get delivered at the quick rate and faster speed almost in Nanoseconds.

Scientific achievements-
The science has improved the health by introducing the methods and techniques to fight deseases and medicines have provided an immune system to the manking even right from their birth through inventing vaccines. Science no doubt has lead to stunning inventions . Telehealth programmes have provided an excellent way to patients for keeping in touch with their health care providers without even having to physically go to visit them in the clinics or care centres. Medicinrs relieve a petson from pain in seconds .., New drugs, digital exrays laser treatments etc have made a lot easy to diagnose a disease.

Cultural and arts achievements-If we look five decades before , their was no concept of art and craft. But in today's society it has gained a essential place and importnace . Paintings such as Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, works of William Shakespeare, the poetry of artists to express oneself better, the art of writing i.e in the form of books , novels , etc has also attaracted the intetest if an individual today .

These achievements of the mankind over these five decades can be reviewed in the form of a definition Of a project as follows . For example, development of an innovative project say a smartphone like Samsung Galaxy will involve the following

Project Management of these projects review are important because:

The achievements discussed above involves a strategic alignment of activities with the needs of making and therefore ensures the desired result is achieved.

The communication and leadership skills are developed in accomplishing each of the project

Each project has a predetermined objective and a definite focus ...

Realistic and practical project planning and implementation is possible for example – artificial intelligence.
Quality maintenance and control is attained such as invention of solar energy saving electricity.

Risk management is highly possible through predicting outcomes through forecasting techniques by decreasing uncertainties.

Asiignment and Orderly process in all the activities of project management for example invention of the software and allied services

Project management gives way for continuous improvement in the processes.
