Ans 1 :

The volume of gas is related to the temperature (constant pressure) as :

V1 T2 = V2 T1

here V1 = 262 L

T1 = 18 C = 291.15 K

T2 = -10 C = 263.15 K

putting values :

262 L x 263.15 K = V2 x 291.15 K

V2 = 236.8 L

So the new volume of the balloon will be 236.8 L.
