Major HRM activities are as given below.

(i) Recruitment and selection - Doing HR planning for upcoming periods, designing recruitment and selection procedures, advertise jobs, conduct processes, extend offers.

(ii) Compensation and benefits management - Designing and implementing compensation policies in line with industry and market standards and good enough to attract and retain best candidates in the job market.

(iii) Appraisal and performance management - Conducting performance evaluation of the candidates and take appropriate decisions related to promotions, pay hike, dismissal, job enrichment, training and other methods to ensure high performance.

(iv) Training and development of employees - Train and up-skill the employees to meet the job related demands and new future assignment and make them up to level for their personal and professional development.

(v) Organise employee welfare activities related to health, education, entertainment  etc to keep them motivated.

(vi) Doing strategic HR planning and succession planning to ensure that leadership is developed to take the future roles as the existing leadership leaves or retires.
