Yes, i have closely witnessed cyber bullying last year. I am from India and reside in the state of Maharashtra. In Amravati city, there was a serious case of cyber bullying.
Two teen aged boys altered the photographs of a teen aged girl. These photographs were obscene, vulgar and objectionable. There were sexual comments written under the photograph and these were posted on social media. It got viral and the girl attempted a suicide as she was harassed and humiliated publicly. But doctors saved her life.
We, a group of young friends contacted police and met the local newspaper agency to communicate everything that happened. The two teen aged boys were arrested. A case is going on in the court of the law. We also met the girl and her parents and consoled her.
One thing that remained and can be done in such case of cyber bullying is to create awareness regarding it and commuicate a possible framework of do's and don'ts.
