Gymnosperms: They  are  naked seed, that are developed on the surface of specialized leaves and they are cone bearing in nature. develop either on the scale or cones (leaf-like appendages). The largest group of living gymnosperms are conifers and smallest is ginkgo, it is a single living plant species found in China.

Cycads: Cycads are a group of gymnosperm trees and shrubs. They are woody, seed producing plants with no flowers or fruit. Cycads often look similar to palm trees with branchless stems and crown of large compound leaves and a stout trunk, and because of their large attractive leaves, many cycads have found a home in public and private gardens around the world. The cycads are gymnosperm plants and hence sit in the class of plants known as Pinopsida.
