An environmentalist might nevertheless argue that the pipeline could result in lower carbon emissions and should be built due to the following reasons which are as follows:

  • First of all, it reduces transportation energy that ultimately reduces CO2 emissions.
  • Secondly, pipelines can be used for other purposes apart from the oil that would be beneficial for the environment as a whole.
  • Most importantly, we can transport the things in remote regions also in a very cost-efficient way that is good for the environment at large and many more.
