Yes, personally i feel that prevention of abusive conduct tends to be a fine argument for informed consent. It is indeed convincing because-

Prevention of abusive conduct is allied with the prevention insults, humiliations, bullying, intimidation and any other negative verbal and physical behavioural facet.

On other hand, the informed consent reflects the permission in the context of the consequences in terms of risk and benefits.

This is why it is obvious that in order to handle the risks/ negative aspects mentioned above, prevention of abusive conduct is much like a prerequisite for informed consent.
