1) Sensorimotor (0-2 years): The milestone for this stage is Development of object permanence. In this stage, the child is exploring and experiencing the outside world by their movement and senses.
2) Preoperational(2-7 years) : During this period, the child is egocentric and takes pary in magical thinking. They tend to have intrusive thoughts. The milestone that must be achieved is conservation.
3) Concrete operational(7-11 years) : The milestone is to understand concepts attatched to concrete aspects. Children tend to take control and try to understand time, space etc.
4) Formal operational (11+) : The milestone in this stage is to apply the learned concepts to other situations. Here, the Individuals tend to develop the ability to reason and understand abstract concepts.
