Answer #1

Resistance

Increase in airway resistance is because of diameter of airway getting reduced and the turbulent flow. Increase in airway resistance would adversely affect proper ventilation. Diseases like Asthana elevates airway resistance.

Lung compliance

A reduced lung compliance represents that lungs requires a higher change in in-trapleural pressure to alter the lung's volume. Individuals having reduced lung compliance because of obstructive lung diseases would be forced to take quick deep breaths.

An increased lung compliance represents that small pressure variations in in-trapleural pressure is required to alter the lung's volume. An individual having increased lung compliance because of restrictive lung diseases would suffer to expand and deflate lungs.

hope the answer helps.
