How will the distribution of ecosystem services influence public acceptance of conservation plans?
Answer:- Conservationists often have difficulties obtaining financial and social support for protected areas that do not demonstrate their benefits for society. Therefore ecosystem services have gained importance in conservation science in the last decade as these services provide justification for appropriate management and conservation of natural systems. The method considers the synergism between ecosystem services and biodiversity conservation. Targeting the ecosystem directly can meet the multiple ecosystem services and biodiversity goals more efficiently but can't substitute biodiversity conservation. Strategically targeting only biodiversity conservation offers much promise. Here we present an initial analytical framework for integrating biodiversity and ecosystem services, a systematic plan offers scope for identifying various valuable synergies.
